Each entry in the database includes 10 fields:
- 1. Prefix - Usually "St." or "Bl." unless it is a group.

- 8. Death Year - The year the saint died.
- 9. Picture
- 10. Biography - Includes all the other information we've gathered. A list of names indicates the person is part of a martyr or saint group which is commemorated together.
Abbreviations used in the database.
- St. - Saint
- Bl. - Blessed
- * - indicates a Blessed. This notation is in addition to the "Bl." prefix, so not all Blesseds are indicated with *.
Explanation of errors and problems that still exist in the database
- Unfortunately, no database is perfect. While we have taken pains to complete and correct our database, there are still some errors. Errors may include the following: Spelling problems. A few saints are listed twice. Some location names have not been translated from Latin. Some martyr or saint groups have not been divided into separate entries. Not all saints have biographical information available. Some recent saints and blesseds may not yet be entered in the database. If you notice any errors or problems with the database, please contact us through our Contact Page.
- Saints and blesseds added since the publication of the 2004 Roman Martyrology do not have feast days or memorial numbers yet assigned. We have listed their death dates, which will probably be the same as their feast days. The memorial numbers will not be assigned until the next edition of the Martyrology is published.
