PP claims to be "non-profit" organization, but makes millions of dollars each year.
They buy their products for very cheap (usually less than $1.60 for a cycle of pills) and then raise the prices ($15 or more).
Still charging below the average you would find in a pharmacy to keep your business.
PP has estimated sales of contraception of $85 Million - with an annual profit from that in excess of $64 Million.
Biggest revenue is from the sale of contraceptives - but contraception DOES fail and when it does PP offers an abortion.
"As people turn to contraception, there will be a rise, not a fall, in the abortion rate . . ." -Malcolm Potts (one of the most famous abortion advocates).
Planned Parenthood affiliates defraud taxpayers of millions, former exec alleges,
http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=12032
Los Angeles, March 11 (CNA).-A federal whistleblower lawsuit filed by a former Planned Parenthood executive alleges that nine affiliates in California knowingly engaged in a criminal plot to defraud millions of dollars from state and federal taxpayers over a period of at least six years, the California Catholic Daily reports.
According to one of the allegations, Planned Parenthood used its charitable statues to purchase contraceptives and other medicine at a discount rate. It then billed the state health program for twelve or more times the purchase price. The alleged malfeasance cost taxpayers perhaps more than $10 million per year.
Victor Gonzalez, former vice-president for finance and administration of Planned Parenthood-Los Angeles secretly filed the suit in 2005 in a U.S. District Court in Los Angeles under the federal False Claims Act. The suit was unsealed earlier this week following a review by the U.S. attorney's office. MORE...
Planned Parenthood: Trusted Health Provider or Greedy Abortion Business?
-by William Beckman - December 20, 2007 http://www.lifenews.com/state2698.html
The organization's $10 million "One Million Strong" campaign aims to persuade one million voters to vote for abortion-rights candidates.
Two of the oldest judges on the Supreme Court are abortion supporters. A Republican victor in 2008 could replace them with justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that mandated legalized abortion nationwide. Five of the nine sitting Supreme Court justices are considered to be Roe v. Wade supporters.
Richards said she believed Planned Parenthood could rally young, unmarried independent and Democratic women with its database of four million people, five million annual visitors, and 10 million annual web site viewers. Planned Parenthood will fund political advertisements for candidates and organize paid staffers and volunteers to canvass voters door-to-door.

New Texas PP clinic pushes PP's latest business scheme
STOPP Report, May 21, 2008
Planned Parenthood of North Texas has opened a new clinic at 2718 Eldorado Parkway, Suite 106 in McKinney, Texas. To promote the new facility, PPNT is pushing Planned Parenthood's "Pills Now, Pay Later" scheme.
Under the "Pills Now" business model, a client comes into PP and can receive 12 months of birth control pills while paying only for the first month at that time. The customer gives PP a credit or debit card and is charged a monthly fee for each of the next 11 months, until all the pills are paid for.
A quick look at the finances behind this scheme reveals why PP ran a special workshop at its 2008 annual conference to encourage affiliates to offer this as a business opportunity. According to data we have received, a month's supply of birth control pills costs Planned Parenthood under $2.50. We called PPNT and they told us that they charge its customers from $26 to $31 for the pills. Thus, the 12-month supply of pills costs PP less than $30. So, what the customer pays at the first visit covers the costs and the additional 11 payments are all profit for PP!
Planned Parenthood advertises free EC in Virginia
STOPP Report, March 12, 2008
On March 25, two days after Easter, the Virginia League for Planned Parenthood clinic plans to pass out free emergency contraception from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 3415 Floyd Ave
nue in Richmond.
According to PP, people of all ages will be able to receive a free pack. Last year, PP admitted to passing out 308 emergency contraception packs and it says, "Everyone is welcome. If you are 18 or older, please bring a valid ID with birth date to receive your free pack of emergency contraception. If you are under 18, you will need to meet with one of our nurse practitioners (for free) and will then receive your EC."
To understand why PP conducts these free giveaway promotions, one need only look at its finances. PP pays $4.25 for each EC kit. VLPP advertises that it sells the EC kit for $28 to $38 - thereby making a profit of $25 or more on each kit. If it can get just one of every six people who receive a kit to buy just one more, the promotion pays for itself and PP has attracted much publicity and many new customers.
Planned Parenthood accused of ripping off $180 MILLION from the American people
STOPP Report, March 12, 2008
All of California's nine Planned Parenthood affiliates are being sued for overcharging the state government, mostly for birth control products.
Victor Gonzalez, former vice president for finance and administration of Planned Parenthood-Los Angeles, filed the lawsuit in 2005 and it was unsealed in early March. Gonzalez says he was fired in March 2004 because of his discovery of PP's participation in "illegal accounting, billing and donations practices."
Jack Schuler, Gonzalez's attorney said, "Here is the ultimate Hollywood movie set façade of a corporation that poses as charitable while grossly over-billing government programs funded to service the needy, not the greedy. I would not be shocked that criminal prosecutions might follow."
