Extending the Brand: Planned Parenthood Hits Suburbia
June 23, 2008

Flush with cash, Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide are aggressively expanding their reach, seeking to woo more affluent patients with a network of suburban clinics and huge new health centers that project a decidedly upscale image.

The nonprofit, which traces its roots to 1916, has long focused on providing birth control, sexual-health care and abortions to teens and low-income women. While those groups still make up the majority of Planned Parenthood's patients, executives say they are "rebranding" their clinics to appeal to women of means -- a move that opens new avenues for boosting revenue and, they hope, political clout...More

Planned Parenthood settles lawsuit
STOPP Report, May 28, 2008

The Lincoln Journal Star has reported that Planned Parenthood has entered into a settlement agreement with a woman who sued the operator of the nation's largest abortion chain for perforating her uterus during an abortion procedure and causing her to lose 80 percent of her blood.

Planned Parenthood of Nebraska & Council Bluffs and the Nebraska woman have reached a confidential settlement and no details were disclosed.

Attorneys for PP and the woman, identified in the lawsuit by the pseudonym Jane Roe, filed papers in Lancaster County District Court last week seeking dismissal with prejudice of the claim. James Snowden, attorney for PP, told the newspaper that the settlement was a compromise of a disputed claim and did not involve any admission of liability or fault.

Once again, PP has been involved in a medical lawsuit. When will people realize that it is dangerous to go to PP?

PP advertises on their site: "Get Hormonal Methods of Birth Control Without an Exam!"
and "Taking the pill is simple, safe, and convenient."

Yet, even on its own site, it has an extensive list of side effects and reasons not to take it:

-Infections, weight gain, migraines, nausea, diabetes, depression, irritability, and loss of interest in sex.

   Not
mentioned on their site:

     Oral contraceptives and health effects:
        -
Research shows that the Pill plays a role in causing cervical cancer, breast cancer, blood clots,
birth defects in children if used too close to time of pregnancy, and decreased fertility after using it.
Other possibilities: decreased bone density, heart attacks, high blood pressure, stroke, gallbladder
         disease and liver tumors.

What is said on their site:

"The most recent literature suggests that the pill has little, if any, effect on the risk of developing breast cancer."

"In general, using the pill is much safer than pregnancy and childbirth."

"The most serious complication of combination pill use is having a blood clot in the legs, lungs, heart, or brain."

Planned Parenthood also lies and says Abortions are always safe and easy...
       However,
The most recent studies show that girls between 15 and 18 who abort a
baby are more than twice as likely to experience depression, chronic anxiety and
suicidal thoughts as the average girl in the same age group.  1 out of six abortions
are performed on girls between 15 and 19 yrs old.

Planned Parenthood vs. my baby

Read this story that reveals the truth behind Planned Parenthood and how it treats mothers who are carrying a precious human being inside of them. This story was written by a young woman named Alicia.

"My experience with Planned Parenthood left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Not only did they fail to offer me any real help to prepare for parenthood - something you'd assume they would do with a name like that - but they also treated me in a way that just screamed "Have an abortion or get out!" ... click here to read the whole story
